Therapy Times Writers Guidelines
Therapy Times is dedicated exclusively to music, nursing, nutrition, occupational, pediatric, physical, respiratory and speech therapists.
We want to ensure our articles speak to our readers. How better to do that than to ask our readers to
write? We hope these guidelines will assist you in your effort.
- Manuscripts may not be simultaneously submitted to other publications.
- Manuscripts should be typed, double spaced and the author's name, credentials, address, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and a short bio should appear on the first page.
- Whenever possible, manuscripts should be sent on computer disk (preferably in Microsoft Word format) with a hardcopy to Therapy Times, 2570 Boulevard of the Generals, Suite 220, Norristown, PA 19403, or via e-mail to editorial@therapytimes.com. If that is not possible, the editors will accept articles faxed to 610-854-3783.
- Feature stories should run between 1,200 and 1,500 words. Complete references, including other published material, sources' names, credentials and phone numbers must be included with the submissions. Departments should run no more than 500 words.
- Authors are encouraged to provide photographs, charts, slides, artwork or any other supporting material that would enhance the presentation of the article. Material will be returned upon request.
- If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the article becomes the property of Valley Forge Publishing Group, and the publisher assumes copyright privileges. Authors will be required to affirm, in writing, that no portion of the article has been published elsewhere.
- All copy will be edited for clarity and conformity to house style. Authors may be asked to provide additional information or to prepare revisions.
- Authors assume responsibility for the accuracy of information and Valley Forge Publishing Group accepts no responsibility for opinions or statements offered by authors. Articles reflect the opinions of the authors and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of the publisher.
- Additional questions can be directed to Amy Storer, senior managing editor of Therapy Times, at astorer@valleyforgepress.com.
