Her clinic offers a wide range of services through clinics with three Radiation Oncologist and eight Medical Oncologist with three specializing in Hematology. She was integral in implementing a Mission and Mentoring program that serves as a partnership between JACC, Great Physicians Prescription and Covenant Corporate Services. Bio: James Duncan, CHt, PhD(c), is dedicating his career to helping therapists professionally and personally. In his private practice, Duncan developed a hypnosis program for therapists to release negative energy and stress that they tend to absorb through the on-the-job health and emotional challenges. For some therapy patients, he recommends hypnosis because one of the natural "side effects" of hypnosis is the ease of respiration and balancing of blood pressure. Peggy Lee Gurock

Bio: Peggy Lee Gurock, OTR, is currently the senior occupational therapist for Trinitas Children's Therapy Services based in Union County, N.J. In her her 30 years in the occupational therapy profession, she gained experience as a school-based OT, and was involved in designing and building customized equipment for children with physical and developmental conditions. Gurock also evaluates students having difficulty accessing the education system, and for the past five years, Gurock provides readers with information and tips on OT-related issues in monthly articles for a community publication in her hometown of Passaic, N.J. As Gurock serves on the editorial board, her familiarity with editorial and the OT field will help to maintain the integrity of Therapy Times' content from both a clinical and editorial perspective.
Michael Joseph Hewitt

Bio: Although he's director of Memorial Hermann Hospital Texas Medical Center's respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic services department - overseeing all aspects of the operations of both service lines, and having direct responsibility for over 150 employees, management of a budget in excess of 35 million dollars - Michael Joseph Hewitt, RRT-NPS, FAARC, still keeps a presence in the clinical setting, both in an observational role as well as in a consulting role. In 2006, Hewitt was honored with a Fellowship of the American Association for Respiratory Care, and the Texas Society for Respiratory Care has recognized him three times with a Practitioner of the Year award.

Bio: Veronica Juarez, RD, LD, CDE, is the supervisor of the Nutritional Services Department at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, Texas, and the owner of F. I. T. Quest, a consulting company where you can find your nutrition coach for life. Veronica has been a dietitian with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic since November 2001 and was named supervisor of the Nutritional Services Department in 2006. Veronica has hosted a weekly nutrition segment on Sunny 99.1 KODA, the Dana and Marc Show, for more than years, in addition to maintaining the "Ask Veronica" column on the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Web site in which a new diet or nutrition related question is answered every Monday. Veronica was also named one of the Top 10 individuals who have contributed to the Houston Hispanic community for 2005 by "Bravo Houston," an English insert in Semana Weekly. Veronica’s areas of special interests include: nutrition coaching for children and adults, corporate wellness, nutrition and health presentations and media interviews, specialized nutrition counseling for patients with diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease and obesity, and recipe and food analysis.

Bio: Joanne Loewy DA, MT-BC, LCAT, is the director of The Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. In addition, she is a professor of Music Therapy at Hahnemann's Creative Arts Therapy Program at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She consults with hospitals, assisting in building music therapy programs in the U.S. and abroad. Loewy has served on the editorial board for music therapy journals and has been a guest editor for a special feature on the music of music psychotherapy. She has also served on the Cochrane review board. Loewy's areas of expertise include: hermeneutic research, trauma, grief, neonatal music therapy, autism, PDD, ADHD, palliative care and music therapy at end of life. She and the music therapy team at Beth Israel are researching the effects of winds (flutes) in asthma for kids and teens and adults with COPD. Joanne is a jazz singer, plays piano, guitar, violin and directs choirs and musical theater for children in her spare time.

Bio: Katrina Zeit is a speech-language pathologist and public relations project manager for the Speech Pathology Division of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Zeit is a member of the division's fluency team and specializes in evaluating and treating preschool, school-age and adolescent stuttering. In addition, Zeit is serving as president-elect of the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association (OSLHA) and has served as Chair of OSLHA's Insurance Initiative since its inception in 1999.
